The Magic Ten-fold.
You in 2008.
I have a fabulous friend who once told me, "I want to be the ten-fold."
"The ten-fold?" I asked.
"Yes! You know, when people say what you give out will return to you ten-fold?
Well, I want to BE the ten-fold."
I've often thought about this statement from time to time, as the most inspiring
messages are often from those great light bulb moments bubbling forth. What
would it be like if we all acted like we were that magic ten-fold? It's kind of like the
"pay it forward" notion, only today I would like to challenge each of you to apply it
to yourselves this year.
Many times I have shared with students, family and friends, "I know interesting
people who know interesting people." It's true! And through the many encounters
from many different -and interesting- sources, they have all agreed this year is going
to be a powerful one! This year is about creation! Your personal creations, what
you want most, this is the time to do it, create it, see it, dream it, BE it!
What if you were the ten-fold to yourself? What if you were actually in charge of
creating your glorious dreams to reality? What if your God-Source held your hand
and asked, "Song in my heart, Light of my eyes, this is your year, what can I/We
assist you with that would not only bring you joy but also ten others along the way
simply because you asked?" Of course, those who know me will not be surprised
when I question, why ten? Why not a hundred? Or a thousand? How could joy
possibly be contained to just ten? Do bubbles in the ocean rise up only ten feet? No,
they rise up until they reach the surface and then they pop joining all the other happy
oxygen molecules in the air! Wheeee!
Moving forward, make this year, beginning with today, the time you begin to look at
yourself as a completely worthy, creative being, full of golden light, ready to fizz,
and with that, you spontaneously create bubbles of joy all around you. When you
begin to practice being who you want to be, then you become that. Practice makes
perfect, remember? Practice being kind, loving, joyful. Practice getting enough
sleep, practice getting up with enough time to do what you desire for the day.
Practice what you want to see in a relationship by exhibiting the love and respect
toward yourself.
I received a very effective intuitive message the other day while working with a
friend. He really likes coffee. He really, really likes coffee. So after working with
him for awhile I asked him if he had ever coached a little league team. He said yes.
I asked him what they gave the kids. Water, Gatorade? Fresh fruit? Yes, yes, yes.
So, I asked, you never gave them coffee? No, of course not. Well, I gently broke it
to him, his kidneys and adrenals are kind of like his personal little league team. He's
responsible for them, and while they are still working as a team, they needed some
water, some rest, and some love.
So look at yourself. You and your team, which is not only your body, but your
mind, your heart, your spirit are the collective of who you are. Love who you are!
If you find an aspect about yourself that does not bring you joy, then please, please,
please, send love to that area of your being. Every thought you have that does not
bring you joy is reducing the reach of your Light. Fill yourself with love and there is
no room for anything else! When you are filled with love, it overflows, it expands, it
replicates, it inspires others, it works, it works, it works!
Sometimes, I need someone outside of myself to give me my own advice. Have
you ever had that happen to you? For example, when I was upset with a
situation, I have had students, friends and family tell me, "Don't forget to
breathe, smile, drink your water and have fun." AH, yes! It's true. We all have
knowledge, sometimes it just takes another to remind us of how creative we are
and how truly connected we are to each other and to our own hearts.
So in some ways it's easier to be the ten-fold to others. In some ways it's easier
to simply give fill-in-the-blank in order to feel accomplished. But what if you
gave it to yourself. Ok, yes, sometimes, giving to others is exactly what it takes
to fill ourselves with joy. But take a look, where do YOU need that extra love
inside? Find the space and send love, send joy, be your own personal ten-fold
to yourself. Let go, just be what you most desire; which is happy, safe and
loved. With this spaced filled, you naturally and effortlessly are the magical
ten-fold to others.
With love and joy, may this article be the ten-fold for whomever needs it most.
Blessings of creation, empowerment and joy,

Dec 2007 - Your Golden Guide Wire
“Follow your Golden Guide Wire. Everyone has one.” ~ Bright Star
Your Golden Guide Wire.
I was shown a wonderful message (intuitive vision) while working with a person recently. It was one of those confirmations for that individual person, but also has wide benefits that nudged me forward in sharing it through a message to you (thank you, A, for holding the space for this message!).Each of us has a Golden Guide Wire which we have available to us at all times. This wonderful wire has the look of strong golden wire rope, entwined upon itself, enforced by girth and proportion, and yet it is as small as common sewing thread. And even though it has the appearance of gold, it is not the soft metal we are used to.
This Golden Guide Wire is Spiritual in essence and actuality. It lies just to the left or right of you, depending on where you need it. It's purpose is just as it's title suggests - to guide. When we are walking through life and are unsure of the next step, we are able to reach out a single hand to find the guide wire and “ah-ha!” we know we are on track and can hold on to it for a while longer until we get the hang of the direction we are heading. Sometimes we reach over to find it out of desperation, unable to see, like the lights have turned off or the clouds have fallen around us - we feel blinded. Our hands reach out into emptiness to land upon the Golden Guide Wire. Always the perfect temperature, never too cold to touch nor too hot to handle, it is strength and comfort and always there. Due to it's versatile structure, it often blends into the environment undetected by others, as it should - for this is YOUR Golden Guide Wire, not another's - they have their own! Sometimes people think they can reach over to someone else's guide wire when they can't find their own. This is not a desirable action. It's like touching on the other person's life purpose. It would be a better action to have another help you find it, so you can carry on your own personal connection as planned. Sometimes, this is what Reiki can do.
Reiki is a facilitator. It helps the receiver to find empowerment in their own healing process, thus bringing them back to their own Golden Guide Wire. I have found consistently that there is some type of awakening that takes place between 3 and 4 sessions with Reiki and/or massage. It's almost as if the Golden Guide Wire may have brought them to helping themselves through these services, but then connection really seems to brighten, lighten and grow over a few sessions. And with continued sessions, wow - things really open up!
It's quite an exciting process to be witness to in the growth of another loving and wonderful Being of Light and the strength they begin to find in themselves. It's like watching a person go from holding the Golden Guide Wire ALL the time, to simply KNOWING where it is without the need to even make contact with it directly. At that point, it's almost like walking with a dear friend who knows where you are going - no map needed.
So while you are out and about in this busy time of the year, remember to be still and reach for your Golden Guide Wire if needed. It's there, always has been and always will be. Seek inner guidance to your next step. Smile to yourself knowing that your body is working to the best that you have allowed it to through choices of movement and nourishment - it's quite a magnificent machine. Grace your heart with gratitude of your blessings. Fulfill the grandeur of your Spirit by using the Golden Guide Wire when you need it and walk with it when your finger tips or palm touches it's simple greatness.
Blessings sent your way this December.

Nov 2007 - Thanksgiving Kisses
Nov 2007
“Love is something of which the heart never tires of being reminded.” ~Bright Star
Thanksgiving Kisses
“What did it feel like?” I asked my 4 year old son when he placed his hands on either side of my neck giving me Reiki. I hadn't asked him to give me Reiki, he did this act on his own. I had slept twisted the night before and could feel my vertebrae had shifted a bit pulling on my neck muscles.
“It feels like a lot of kisses.” He paused then asked me, “Remember when I taught you about how kisses go inside your body?”
“Can you tell me again? I like that lesson.” I told him.
He has told me this before. My little sage has appeared many times through gentle wisdom that feels so genuine and filled with love. What he has shared with me before is when a person sends kisses to another person, the kiss actually goes inside the person all the way to their heart. And sometimes it even makes it as far as their toes.
Sometimes my son will tell me that he is thinking about something or some place. When I ask him if he remembers much about it, his response is always the same, “No, but it's in my heart.” He has told me on several occasions that he “remembers all The Time in his heart.” Now upon first reading this you may interpret it as he is reminiscing about things, like he is consciously thinking about something. That is not the case. He is talking about knowing all things in his heart. Reaching a place of being with all his experiences and even if he does not remember the details of the events, his heart remembers all he has done. If you could hear the wisdom and sincerity when he states this, it would leave you in wonderment and for some reason it always fills me with hope and a overwhelming softness.
Just think for a moment if we were all as conscious of our hearts remembering all “The Time.” If we knew consciously that our Beings on all levels have all the knowledge we need to know in every moment about where we have been, but we don't have to relive the experiences to connect with what it means with us today . .. wow. What a place of Being. That sentence may confuse some of you, and that's ok. Stay with me.
Many people come to me with issues that they may or may not realize they are still holding onto on a very deep level. But the body has a unique way of communicating. It has a language all it's own. Sometimes I am honored to be able to communicate with some of it's messages in order to see why the person has, say a tight shoulder, for example. It could be that the shoulder is remembering an experience over and over again like a skip in a record (remember those?). It takes an act of consciousness to move the needle over to play the next song, otherwise, it continues to carve a deeper groove in the vinyl. Even if you upgrade to a DVD or CD in this analogy, a deep scratch will not allow the information to be read clearly, sometimes resulting in a totally void disk. Well occasionally, a minor scratch appears (pick the media of your choice), and there is enough information that can still be maintained to make it function more or less without much problem.
My son has the ability to somehow recognize the small scratches, takes note of them and then shines up the media source and returns it play the next song. I can only imagine for him, it's like remembering a familiar piece of music, it doesn't matter any more what the words are or that it has a minor scratch somewhere, it's more about still feeling it resonating somewhere inside. And if he needs to recall it, he simply has to look in his heart to find it. Do you have an old familiar song somewhere deep inside of you that you know, but couldn't sing it if you had to recall it in it's entirety?
The beauty of remembering all “The Time” is that you know in your heart that nothing is lost. No one is left behind. There are no regrets. There are no wrongs or rights. There are simply some things in your life you remember and some places you have been. You don't have to read the book again to know what the book is about and you don't have to re-live everything you have experienced in order to remember the parts of it that your heart already knows.
Change is taking place in many ways right now. When you are not sure where to go next or how to handle the situation, sit and be still. Ask your heart what it knows. Use the words, “I am asking for help with ____________.” Listen to the quiet wisdom that a four year old can offer - your heart knows all “The Time”. Guidance from your inner being can be powerful, but you must remember to ASK for this connection to take place.
The month of November for most of those in the United States will have some focus on our Thanksgiving Holiday. But more than anything, right now in this moment, I want you to remember this year's Thanksgiving Kisses. According to my son, they go in and it's like 100 kisses all around. So as you are saying your blessing and prayers of Thanksgiving this year, please add a silent loving kiss to each of those on your list. My son says that those kisses go into the heart of the recipient and I believe him. I send you all Thanksgiving Kisses, and hope they go all the way to your toes! Open your heart to remember this all “The Time”.
May you be clear, connected and guided, loved, honored and blessed this November.

Oct 2007 - Two kinds of Joy . . .(maybe)
“By creating something out of inspired Joy, you bring one more person closer to finding it in themselves”
~ Bright Star
Two kinds of JOY, . . . maybe . . ..
I had an article all written up, but somehow it didn't seem quite like the article that would be sent out for all of you to read. So I waited and asked for clarification. This evening this article was given to me as I worked on a house project. OH yes, my house project. For those who don't know me on a personal level, I don't mind painting a room, learning how to do something constructive around the house (like laying tile or re-texturing a wall)- if it feels creative to me, then I'm all for it. Currently it is updating the family room. Last month was updating the Massage Studio.
So there I was thinking in the back of mind that I really need to be working on the website and get it updated instead of painting. And then I thought how it really brings me joy to do these projects that are created around the house. Then I realized the article was already written and it all revolved around this very thought.
At first I was thinking how there are two kinds of joy. The one that brings me joy because of something I do, like my projects. I find fulfillment in seeing the potential of a space and having it transform. Feeling that inspired force pull me forward in taking a risk in creativity is exciting. Like picking a color to go on a wall that feels good to me, one I enjoy, putting it together with what I already have available and seeing the outcome unfold right before my eyes. Or similarly, when I was in college I was deeply interested in photography. One of my prized photographs of an old gate in an abandon church was taken on an inspired whim. My professor secretly submitted it to a competition and said, “Oh, by the way, I submitted your photograph, results should in be soon.” All I could think of was how did she got a copy of my photo? Then the night before I got married, I received the First place award for the Rockie Mountain Collegic Photography Contest. I won first out of those submissions from all colleges west of the Rockie Mountains. Cool, huh? The joy I had in taking the photograph was purely for my creative joy. The rest was all bonus!
So as my hand swipes my hair out of my face (again) and I reach across the wall with the paint roller, my mind wonders to what my husband will think of the room when it is complete. Then I realize the second kind of joy. This Joy #2 is the joy experienced when you do something you know will make ANOTHER person happy. Like getting their favorite goodie and surprising them just for the heck of it. Or dropping a note in the mail with a smile just because they crossed your mind. Doing an action that you know will bring someone else joy is an outward expression generated FOR that person. It takes kindness to want to acknowledge that person in a way you know will bring them joy. It's a place of great integrity coming forward in a creative expression. While my husband was out of town, I decided to get a jump start on the room, easing the load he would have complete. Through this act, I feel joy in my creative expression of personal accomplishment, but also my husband will be happy that he doesn't have to do it (I like to paint more that he does). As my thoughts linger on my husband's joy, I begin to feel even more joyful! Then I realize, there is really only one kind of joy - not two. When I complete Joy #2, an action that makes another happy, it really in turn makes me happy to see their joy. So all actions, personal to the self or outward toward another, both have the same effect of creating joy for me! It's all about what brings me joy!
A very smart person (whom I won't name here, but they know who they are), once said, “Don't do it for them, do it for yourself.” Originally this was in context of consciously being aware of actions that others may or may not care about what you are doing. I f they don't care and you set yourself up to be disappointed, then there is no joy. BUT, if it brings you joy regardless of what another thinks or how they participate, then joy is accomplished regardless. And if by chance your actions bring them joy as well, then it's bonus! Your joy has become infectious!
“Do it for yourself.” I'm not endorsing selfish acts of greed and pleasure and control. This about listening to those gentle nudges inside of you that you know is a gift of happiness and most often it simply is in complete and utter alignment of who you really are - that is joy. These are the joyful acts that do not create any confusion as to their place in your life, they simply exist in a beautiful way and they are doing their jobs perfectly by bringing you joy.
When I started asking some of my students if they were reading these articles and the response was mixed, at first I was disappointed, but I had to ask myself - why do I do them then? Why do I take the time to compose them at all? The answer was simple - I enjoy it and I feel inspired to do so! If the articles reach another person, then like the photo of the gate, we may have a surprise winner and it's a bonus! And if not, it was still worth it to me to be creatively expressive because it brought me joy to listen to the gentle nudges of my inner being and see it's potential unfold before my eyes, just like my house projects.
If you do something for another that makes them happy but it doesn't make you happy, then there is no joy. Reevaluate. Create a way to bring joy into it either directly or through a Joy #2 action. Joy #2, remember, is an outward expression directed for a person that it makes you happy to see them happy.
Live in joy, create joy for yourself, see it in others and joy will find you in all facets of your life. (And just to give you a heads up, sometimes Joy has a sense of humor and may arrive incognito!)
Ok, I'm off, I have more projects of joy awaiting!
May you be lit from within with inspiration, creativity, kindness and joy!

Sept 2007 - Be the Tree, Be the Observer, Be the Sound
“You act as a prism. All Bright Lights are able to show the colors that make them by becoming the variations of brilliant color from within.”
~Bright Star
Be the Tree, Be the Observer, Be the Sound.
“If a tree falls in a forest, and there is no one around to hear it, does it still make a sound?” An age old philosophical question that makes one wonder. If I were there, I know I would hear the slow cracking, quick snapping and whoosh sounds as limbs, branches and leaves moved through the air making contact with the ground ending with rumbling vibrations reaching my feet, legs, body and ears. Or perhaps the Earth would absorb most of the impact and my body would not feel the movement of traveling energy across the plane. My eyes would see the breaking of light previously hidden by a canopy of green. And I wonder, if I were there, if birds, insects, fuzzy creatures and critters, would they have known before I did that the tree was going down? After watching a recent nature show, I have a greater understanding of appreciation of the way nature works and the gifts of open natural windows appearing to warm the ground below, providing sun for the new seedlings destine to take the place of the fallen tree.
So here you are. The Observer. Watching in your mind's eye a movie set before you using your imagination to transport you to a place of lush greenery. You are watching a scene of natural beauty and fateful rhythms of cyclical Mother Nature. And if you were the tree? What would it feel like to know that you have provided greatness to all creatures around you with shade, shelter, comfort, food and retreat? You have nourished the air with oxygen, and breathing in the carbon dioxide, again a cycle of Divine nature. And now, paving the way for your seedlings to grow and thrive, what an incredible journey.
How does this apply to your world now? In a most intimate and intricate way, you are all these things. You are the observer, the tree - and the sound. When teaching Reiki, students experience a connection made to the divine self. When I hold a session with Reiki as our focus, an amazing thing happens. A three-way connection takes place. The client, myself and the multicolored line that connects us together and then connects us to all things.
I made a presentation to my Reiki Share in August that consisted of learning about the crown chakra and it's significance in the Divine BALANCED connection to each person's Higher Source and Spiritual Essence. I tell you that you are all bright lights! But sometimes a bright light can be hard to see and to distinguish because it is so big, one can not discern where it is, where it starts, where it is going. And yet, place a bright light through a prism and a rainbow appears. The smaller facets of the light are broken down to beautifully individual manageable waves.
Here you are the bright light, the prism and the rainbow waves. When we come together, each of our greatest parts are shown in a way that without one another we would have no way of knowing existed. Sometimes we are so focused on being a small ray of a particular light wave that we forget who we are as a whole. If I concentrate on being red my whole life, I may forget that part of myself that is green, yellow, pink, etc. And when one is balanced, all colors come together, the separation of the prism dissolves and White Light exists. Ok, now, let's go further. If I concentrate on always being that bright white light, which is a magnificent experience, I am a holding the space for a greater part of myself and others. But if I am doing a session on a person and all they need is a certain color ray, say blue for instance to help with their communication, they allow an opportunity for my bright white light to go through the prism to break down to it's smaller particles of rainbows. There blue appears and the client's needs are met. Do you see the gift in this?
Without the client, the interaction of that other person, my light as “blue” might not have been seen or observed. It is through the gifts of others, I am able to see myself and they are able to get what they need. We are all in need of each other, of the vibrations we can express, through the rainbows we all possess and the ability to be the bright white light that we are. We help each other see the greatness of ourselves.
So here we are. In the forest. I can observe, I can be the tree, but without another's presence, who will hear my sound? Does my sound exist if it can not be heard? Personally, I think it does exist. I believe it exists in a powerful way. But the beauty in it's existence is in the sharing of it. This is not a tragedy of a fallen tree. This is the acknowledgement and sharing of a Being. By working together, sharing Reiki, prayers, happy jokes, quiet moments, a glass of water, eye contact, whatever, we live, we observe, we are heard and acknowledged. It is through you, I am able to see the rainbows of my white light and my sounds are heard. And through myself and others your rainbow sound is received.
Now here is the secret. In order to see these rainbows and hear the sounds, go within, for that is where your sparkle is found. Inside of yourself, your personal magical forest exists. What does it sound like?
Live today in love. Listen. You are living rainbows. Breathe. Have fun.

Aug 2007 - What would you do if you could?
August 2007
What would you do if you could?
My story
Have you ever met a skeptical believer? You know, the people who believe in the idea, the product, the theory, and yet they want proof. The “yeah, I believe you, but can you prove it?” kind of person. Well, sometimes I step into that space, too, I have to admit. When I hear about a neat special thing I may want proof, but I want to experience it in some way for myself. So I tend to test certain things.
Like when my friend, Pat, passed onto me the Hiring the Heavens audio book by Jean Slatter. The premise is simple. If there is a phone book “down here” (Earth) with experts in every field that we can pick up the phone, call to get answers or have them provide a service, why couldn't there be a Spiritual Phone Book with experts on the Spiritual side just waiting to get our “call.” Jean Slatter calls this hiring a Spiritual Committee (of whatever expert field you are needing). No money is exchanged. Just a request on your part . . . and a willingness to allow them to complete the job.
So, I tested it. Only my Committee did not have a fancy name, like the Spiritual Real Estate Agent that Jean mentions, or the Spiritual Jewelry Locator (for lost jewelry), or the Spiritual Travel Agent. Nope. Mine was the Spiritual Find-My-Lost-Twenty-Dollars-And-Bring-It-Back-To-Me Committee. No etherical music played while I made my request. However, I did get a gentle nudge, “let someone know you are looking for it.” So I told my son's teacher that I lost the $20 bill and who knows where since it happened to be a school field trip day. I didn't want the $20 to magically appear as a tip to my professional services or in a birthday card. I wanted proof that that was my $20 and “they” were bringing it to me. It took a week, but sure enough, the bill was found and returned to me by the teacher. A student found it, took it home and eventually it made it back to my hands.
I've done the same with a Spiritual Navigator to help me get to a place I had never been before. I “unknowingly” parked in front of the business, which was hidden down a corridor, without realizing it until I physically got out of the vehicle. Now I use Spiritual Committees all the time to help me achieve things or ask for help in a variety of ways. I've passed on this simple technique to others as well, always crediting Jean Slatter's book for those who are interested in getting the info straight from her.
Let us return to the original question posted as to what would you do if you could do anything with no limits. What if you could do something you've always wanted to do and you knew you could “hire” a special committee specifically to help you achieve this goal? Would that help you get past the bump in the road that keeps you from getting to this experience? It does not have to be a fancy title to “hire” the committee you are needing. Obviously from my experience any specific title will do if you are clear about what you are requesting. Just give it a try. And as for me and trying something I have never done - well, I hope you will celebrate with me the release of my first CD this month. I simply announced one day that this was something I wanted to do, I didn't know how I would do it or where to go first, but “Help” arrives in many ways and when it does, it sure makes things easy - and fun!
I encourage you to give it a try, get creative. Experiment. And send me an email with your experiences. The only limits here are what you choose to limit yourself in experiencing. Release that. You don't need that old belief any more. You are free to experience and request assistance if needed. “They” are waiting for your call!
Blessings abound!

July 2007 - What does your heart say?
Believe in Miracles! Just know that they may be different for you than the next person; ~ Bright Star
What does your heart say?
My Story.
It's a funny thing when you decide to step “into your own.” This can mean beginning a business, making a decision that is different than what others expect you to do, or just finally doing what you've always wanted to do with a hobby or fun endeavor. And I think at first there is that awkward ambition that swings the pendulum of who you were into who you think you want to be and it may be over the top or a little “whoa!” for some people. But it is important nonetheless in order to find that middle ground, that solid base in which you can swing a little to the right or left without being totally thrown off your path. It is here when things begin to just feel right. It is here where it doesn't matter so much what others think or do, it's about what your heart says.
There are Reiki practioners who occasionally contact me to see what I think about articles or with Reiki questions. And I have students who contact me with items of interest or deep inquires. I decided as a Reiki Master Teacher that part of my job, and I've told this to my students, is to make myself available to help others when I can with what I know. That's part of being a teacher, in my opinion, to help guide along the trail until one becomes proficient of the pathway. My experience, my intuitive insight and my personal perspective are what I share. But it's more than this that I wish to pass on to others. I want to know what does their heart say to them? I, too, seek confirmation on “things” in and out and of this world, but it always brings me back to what I already know! My heart is constantly giving me nudges, emotional surges of “yes that feels right” or “no, something is not quiet a match here. . .”When the “pendulum swing” of your inner being is in a balanced state, clarity of the messages from your heart is crystal. And sometimes it takes “going with the flow” in order to be able to recognize how your are communicated with. I once met a lady who said she could gage things by the little “zip” she felt down her nose!
We are all moving into a new place where each of our hearts are speaking louder than they ever have before. We took my daughter to Sedona, Arizona recently. And even though I was scared of the steep edges on trails, it felt important to allow my daughter the experience of those red rocks at one of the vortexes. She “lit up” in a way I've not seen before, so confident, so sure-footed, so LIGHT! Listening to my heart to keep going, getting past my personal fear of the trail, not only showed me views of a great valley of enormous beauty, but it showed me a side of my daughter that I didn't know was part of her Being! Listening to my heart presented an opportunity for me to see my daughter's heart as well! And there she stood, in that solid middle ground of the pendulum swing, perfectly balanced and at peace. And in those moments she was able to listen to her heart with clarity and confidence. This is what I will encourage her to find whenever she needs that feeling/clarity in the future.
So find your space, use meditation, use Reiki, use massage, use quietness, use mantras, music, poetry, nature - whatever it takes to provide you a feeling of “yes, this feels right.” It is here that your heart can really speak to you (not the mind). And remember -Listening with your heart will always be clearer than hearing with the ears.
So, now what does your heart say?
Blessings to you and your families,

June 2007 - Where is yor spirit leading you?
For next month:“What does your heart say?” When the hustle of the day gets crazy, if you stop to listen to what your heart says, what does it say to you? Do you have a moment when you realized your inner intuition? Share it with us, inspire others to do the same.

“Where is your spirit leading you?”
My story.
They inspired me.
I entered the gym to work out one morning and decided to do a small warm up on the elliptical trainer. Scanning across, I see all these women of different body shapes and sizes, from very fit to working on getting fit, entering into the room where they hold a bicycle class. I remember having the thought, “If they can do it, I can do it.”
They had no idea that simply by showing up for class, they inspired me to try something new! Don't you just wonder whom you have unknowingly inspired simply by showing up? Think about it. Have you ever done something and noticed out of the corner of your eye someone glance your way? Ok, so maybe they liked the color of your socks, or the twinkle in your eyes, but who knows, it may have been that something you did or said or simply by being there you may have moved someone to act when before they stood still.
Now let's take that further. On this same theme, let me share with you my personal trainer, Laura, had worked with me for 3 weeks and I was walking away with feeling that while I was working out, it somehow seemed so-so. Then Week Four arrived. I decided I was going to really test my limits, really give it my all, really, really work out (just to see how it felt,. . . somehow Laura picked up on that). I could really feel it when I left and was sore for 5 days straight afterward. What a wake-up call for myself. I was somehow on some subtle level chickening out on weeks 1-3. But when I decided to really experience “Working Out,” not just “working out,” I felt it, even if I did overdo it a wee bit.
This experience reminded me about the power of intentions and the conscious connections. Consciously deciding to really experience the workout resulted in an entirely different session. By simply showing up (step one!) and then BEING in the experience (step two!) leads you to (ready for step three?) ALLOWING you to really get the most of WHO YOU ARE. And you are pretty darn great!
What would happen if you were to “just for today” (my Reiki students know what I'm talking about) step up to the plate, experience all you could, consciously be present in who you are? Do you think you would experience your day differently? Would you experience YOURSELF differently? I did. And of course if goes beyond this dense matter of a physical body, it transforms to the mental, emotional and spiritual parts of your being.
Allow yourself to experience. And yes, by not doing anything you are also experiencing, but it sure makes for a better story and a great sense of accomplishment to know YOU DID IT. Show up for whatever it is you are drawn toward - just by doing it you may be inspiring another to try something new!
So where is my Spirit leading me? Into BEING, into my best and greatest Self. Why even today, I was able to experience myself in a great way - my upcoming CD was re-mixed into a Master Copy that I am very pleased with. So with all of this in mind, see what your heart tells you this month, write me and tell me how it's going.
Just for today, may you be guided, connected, clear and filled with the inner beauty of Love and Light.
Have a wonderful beginning of summer.

May 2007- Look what we did.
WHEW! What a ride! Last month I asked all of you to consider something you have always wanted to do and to just go out and do it! Well, I did it! I recorded my first CD! I go in later this month to complete the Master copy, but I can tell you it was a wonderful experience! My thanks to Bill Webb for his expertise in sound recording and music production and Cris Toney for her melodic Japanese ocarina. Where is your spirit leading you this month?
“As my heart speaks, the world listens. And the great part about this language is it is universal.” ~ Bright Star
How did you respond to the question of the month? “What is one thing you've wanted to do that you can NOW say you finally have experienced “ is the question from last month. Here are your “Look what I did” stories.
My story.
AH, I love this part. I really took to heart my question I posed to all of you. What was it that I really have wanted to do, but just hadn't - yet? Well, I can tell you I was very busy. I have just recorded my first CD! I'm am more excited than this page could hold, but let's just say I came home, played the rough cut sample for my husband and yelled, “THAT'S ME!!” Everyone should allow themselves the experience to be able to yell with glee “that's me!”
This experience was more fun than I expected and am looking forward to being able to share with you the final product when it's all done. But that's not all I did in a month. I joined a health club to help my body be stronger, gain more flexibility and sustain the work I love to do, massage and Reiki. I was sitting telling the personal trainer (another thing on my “look what I did” list - working with a professional trainer) about the challenge I set to all of you and how I decided that it was important to take care of myself in this way as well. And not only that, but my husband and I have decided to do a really memorable vacation this summer with the kiddos. When I decided to just make one idea into reality, all the other things came into my range of vision to complete as well. And not only did I get to see them clearly, but I can without a doubt tell you all I DID THIS!
May you find joy in doing something you can yell out “That's me.” And if you are still inspired, send it to me and I'll continue to add to the list below.
YOU CAN DO IT!
Have a beautiful May and may you create great things for yourself!

April 2007 - Messages from Nature
“What message or gentle nudge did you get from the messengers in nature” was our question last month. Here's a few of the responses.
My nature story.
Most everyone has heard this story (‘cause I love it so much!), but for those who are new the site or have forgotten the story of the butterflies, here it is. When my husband and I were seeking a new house, our previous house was sold and we needed to find a house “that weekend”. The night before I asked my group of Spiritual helpers to give me a sign that I would have no way of knowing (without their help) that the house that was to be our new house was ”the one.” I heard “there will be a butterfly in the yard.” Cool, I thought, and shared this with my husband. Now I knew that could mean literally a butterfly flying around or symbolically like yard art or a garden sign.
We met with our real estate agent and looked at an older house, then looked at new construction, some house waaaay out in the boonies . . . finally, we decided to go separate ways. We parted from the agent, ate lunch with the kids. We decided on our own, without the agent, we would take one last look at the older house, the first one from the day. We again parked in the driveway, looked around the back, looked around the front, met and talked with some potential next door neighbors, returned around the back. I was looking in a window at the potential studio space when I heard my husband calling me, “A butterfly came right at my head!! I had to duck!”
Then from some where inside of me and felt a very strong yet gentle pull to look directly to my left. There on the wall was a metal wreath of butterflies and flowers. I said to my husband, “Did you see this?” We were silent. Then my husband said, “Let's go make an offer.” Being open to asking and hearing the answers PLUS allowing the alignment of such gifts is a blessing. Why we didn't see the metal wreath the first time we were there or while we lingered around the back upon arriving after lunch is a mystery. But nature tends to work that way. Mysteries of beauty, inspirations along the way and answers to questions, to say the least. Hope you have your listening ears on. Have a beautiful April. ~Bright Star
